I am a new homeowner and so, I find myself constantly asking myself the question, “Should I paint my new construction home?” Well, if that’s what you’re looking for, then here is a list of reasons why you should paint your new home.
Picking the right paint colors for your new home is a huge headache for homeowners. Why? Because paint can make a huge difference in the way a home looks. But the problem is that no two homes are exactly alike. So as a general rule, you should pick the colors that match the exterior (or at least the surface of the home) where you live. Of course, this does mean that you can’t pick the colors that match the interior.
There are two main types of paint used in the construction industry: Synthetic and natural. Synthetic is mainly used for exterior applications such as roofs, fence posts, and furniture and upholstery. Natural is used for interior applications like walls, trim, floors, and ceilings.
Personally, I’m the biggest believer in the synthetic type of paint. I’m a big fan of a paint called “Epoxy”. It’s a polymer that can be sanded and painted. I love that it can be mixed on the spot, plus it’s very fade-resistant. I also like that it lasts longer, is better for the environment, and is generally cheaper.
Yeah, synthetic paints are great for exterior applications because they can be easily applied, but they can also be a bit tricky to get the color right. Epoxy is a bit easier to get to the color you want, but it doesn’t always look the same. It’s usually pretty easy to get the texture right, but it can be a bit hard to get a perfect match because of the colors’ shifting characteristics.
I personally like the look of this because it’s fade-resistant and looks great on many surfaces. I also like the fact that it lasts longer and is a bit cheaper than most synthetic paints, and that it’s not toxic to the environment.
You should definitely consider using a bit of epoxy to keep the colors in sharday from shifting. It’s a very fine substance that, when mixed with water, will create the color you want without the need for an exact match. It’s not as easy to use though because the consistency it takes to create the perfect color can vary depending on its source. I’d say to mix it in a bowl with some water and see how consistent you can get it, because the consistency can vary.
We’re pretty sure that if we applied the right amount of epoxy, some of the colors in sharday would have shifted about the same amount as in our first shot, so we’re pretty sure that a bit of epoxy is needed to keep the colors consistent. We’re just not sure about the amount of epoxy needed to be sure you get the exact shades you want.
We did a shot of a sharday with our epoxy and it worked pretty well. The colors changed a bit, but were the exact shades of grey we wanted. Some of the other shades of grey we’ve used in our video.
