I think its a really interesting idea. As a matter of fact I think its very possible that you just may not want to buy sand in lace. Its a fairly minor cost to buy sand in lace, and its not like you might be able to find a local hardware store with it. But you might be able to find a cheaper version online for much less money. For example, on the same website I found a sand in lace section that actually had an option for $2.
