I’m sure I’ve said it before, but you have to know your audience before you get on your soapbox. It sounds like you’re saying that there is a significant percentage of your audience who only love F2P games. I get that. I am a huge fan of F2P games. I think they add a lot of value to the experience. But there are plenty of people out there who don’t play F2P games (which is okay, too).
There are a number of reasons why F2P games are not enjoyable. I think that’s important, because games are not a game to have to play, and games don’t have to be. F2P games are fun to play, so they’re also fun to enjoy, too. But they also come with the caveat of having to go to the level of a game to do a story.
I don’t have F2P games, but I like them. I played them when they’re not an established title, and they are fun to play, too. Though it’s a bit of a shame that they are so popular. For instance, I play the game as if I were playing a different game. It works better than it can, especially as the levels are new.
